Trips in 2000

In March, Claire attended the TESOL 2000 Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia. Here she is with TESOL Board of Director Members Mary Romney and Donna Fujimoto:

At the end of May, we both attended the CALICO Symposium in Tucson, Arizona. Marc served as one of the CALICO Technology Coordinators and spent most of his time surrounded by equipment:

Friends at CALICO: Carolyn Fidelman, Debra Hoven, and Philippe DelCloque

Jozef Colpaert

Tech Coordinator Derek Roff

 Finley Taylor

Graham Davies

Lisa Frumkes, Bob Fischer, and Jacque Kaminksy

In June, Claire spent a most pleasant week at Utah State University in Logan, Utah, where she conducted a workshop, Modern Technology for Modern Language Teaching.

In September, Marc went to Florida to prepare for the next CALICO Symposium, to be held in March 2001.

He was able to spend a little time with cousins Jackie, Steven, and Caryn.

He had an opportunity to fulfill a longstanding wish to visit Cape Kennedy.

We took a whirlwind trip during the Thanksgiving weekend, during which we first visited Marc's family in Schenectady and then went to Toronto for the TESL Ontario conference.

On Christmas Day, Claire will leave for Louisiana. On the 27th, her mother Mary Alice Kurtzemann and Louis Kurtzemann will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. Photos of the anniversary party
